Yea I assumed it was a knife cut, but why would you be so stupid to do that on a $40k car. EGH.

They also filled her up AND threw in some touch up paint. Very good guys.

Some of the plastic used to protect the interior can ONLY be removed with a razor blade.

Now, combine that with the fact that there is always some young, inexperienced kids working at dealerships in the detail shop. Trust me, it happened a lot, especially if they are in a rush, but I can tell he made multiple cuts and he also did the "swipe" method (as in, he swiped at it with the razor instead of carefully placing the razor on the edge of the panel and cutting gently...)

Anyhow, about a week ago today I brought home my new red Z and sadly noticed a slight tear on the spongy part of the door inside the car just where the spongy part hits the hard frame of the door. It's really not noticeable but sadly I think the dealer actually did it when he tried to get the plastic out of the side of the door. Needless to say im not that happy but figure I can fix it. I'm attaching a picture of the small tear and wondering if anyone has an opinion on the matter. I've already emailed the dealer for his opinion and called him on it but I'm assuming I will just glue it down and put a little touch up black paint on it. Thanks, and again, this forum has been very helpful in the past in purchasing the beast, hopefully now you can be too.

Andrew
Take it to the dealer and tell them you know *you* didn't do it.

They should make it right...

Might be the funniest, most polite burn I have ever read. I might even be able to use that on work e-mails without getting in trouble.

No problem... I stole it from someone years ago. Can't even guess how many times I've used it, the intraweb being what it is and all...
