Having them sprayed looks a lot better, imo, but it's a bit too "permanent" for my tastes. Also, if you are considering it, please don't put any overlays on your headlights. If you want to go that route, paint the housing instead. The overlays will cause stress cracks in the headlights, but the led tails are fine.
