Default Amuse Kit ground clearance

Hi Guys,

I just recently got the 370Z here in India and man I just love it but unfortunately the place where I live is a very small cramped industrial town with a lot of crazy traffic and bad roads !!

I really like the Amuse kit and wanted to the get the good quality replica from fellow forum member/sponsor UAMSPORTS !! My main concern is the ground clearance, although I dont have any issues with the stock car but still I have to be drive to slow over the roads which are seriously crap !! I drive fast over them, I might scrape the bottom !!

So just want to know how low is the kit compared to the stock one, Most of the pics I came across the cars were a bit lowered so couldn't judge properly !! I am sure some members with the kit have come across bad roads in USA and can give me some feedback !!

Perhaps I can just get the front rear and the wing and not install the side skirts ? Will it look bad without the side skirts ?

Thanks guys

I have the kit, and would probably advise against it for India roads (have family there and visit often; so I know how bad roads can be). While my car IS lowered, even with cautious driving here in California - I scrape daily.

I really think the Amuse kit needs wheels/drop to make it come together. The side skirts are a must IMO.

Hope that helps...

The kit adds like an extra inch of body paneling to the bottom of the car, and makes the car longer, You need a lot of space to get in and out of steep driveways, and even careful driving won't save you from scratching the sideskirts quite a few times.

And unlike flyest1, I'm at stock height, and I still scrape, even when I use the entire driveway to get out. Nothing you can do.

As far as I know the roads there only thing which you can carry is the rear bumper

And if you go for front then go with some coilovers, so they you dont have very soft rebound on the bumps which can break your front.

Sides are a NO NO, big musebat

Then I think I will drop the idea to get the kit for the time being !! Might just get the Seibon Nismo wing or the mines stock wing extension

Guys !! Just another quick question !!

The Amuse is a no go but what about the Nismo Kit ? We dont get the Nismo here and I also like the Nismo Kit !!

Is the Nismo very low compared to the normal one ? I dont have issues with the stock car !!

Thanks

slightly lower, and the front lip/diffuser is more extended, so you'll have a bit more of a problem. The nismo front requires a lot of parts to be installed on a regular z.

Thanks !! So pehaps then I will just get the mines wing extension or the Seibon CF nismo spoiler and be happy with that

Clearance is one of the main reasons I haven't pulled the trigger on this kit..
I barely make it in my driveway and around town now without tearing up the bottom of my 370.
