Looking good, and yes you right it does look better than stock.

Do you think I would get away with just plasti dipping the painted area of the lower bumper or should I do the whole black area?

I did less first, but after a couple of days went back and coated the lower lip and the grill and all. of course the beauty of dip is you can pull it off if you do not like it.

Another pic.

Nice, so basically you figured it would look better if all the blacks were same match texture as the plasti dip? I think I will do the lower colored area first and see how it turns out, no doubt will end up doing what you did in the end.

I have some mat black vinyl, wondering if this would also work? I guess the pain of applying it bubble / crease free would be PITA.

Yeah, thats how it played out for me.

I used to do little touches of matte bumper and trim paint with good results. Kinda got sold on 'dip in about 2011 on a G I had. I blackedout a chrome grill and it still looks really good after 3.5 years of hard driving including winter snow and road salt.

BTW, what color is your Z?

Good Luck.

I like the magma a lot. Some black up front should look great.

Default Plasti Dip

I have Plasti-Dipped my door handles, fangs, badges and wheels. Now considering dipping the entire car from the stock pearl white to the matte black...

Anyone have any input - pros or cons on having entire Z dipped?
