Just did my rear valence, so here's a couple pictures. I have to touch up a spot on either side where the spray decided to peel away with the tape. Oh well...the rest of it turned out really well and you can't see the two peeled spots unless you're within a couple of feet.
Quick follow up question to my last post. What do you guys think about spraying the roof with this stuff. So far I have sprayed the emblems, fangs, rear valence, and the mirrors. I don't want to go overboard, but have always liked the black roof look. Too much?

Might look ok with tinted windows, but I think it is too flat to look good. And the cutoff lines can be hard to get right.

pics should be attached... the final picture looks bad cause of the weather.. ill add another eventually
:| if it were me, i'd spend the extra dollar to get it done right and professionally.
tip to those doing their wheels, an easy way to cover the tire from the rim is to stick index cards in between the tire and rim and bend the index cards outwards towards the tire. |
How I did it:

so were you still able to play poker after peeling off the plasti-dip from the cards? :D
Did a practice run on the 370z badge, this stuff is awesome. Turned out great. Next in line: rest the emblems, rear diffuser, fangs, and z on turn marker. 5 bucks at lowes, can't beat it. http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...8-18194114.jpg

Tip for those spraying their wheels. You don't even have to mask off the tires. Just spray on. You can peel the over spray right off from the tires.
just a quick question. Even though i had newspaper around i had some overspray since i guess it was quick windy when i was doing it. Is it safe to say, i can clay bar the overspray off? Or is there any other way of getting it off. I havent tried anything yet to be safe.
i just rub the overspray off with the palm of my hand, its easily taken off... and it was a hassle to peel off the tire over spray.. accidentally burnt my finger haa
I've heard others say that WD-40 does the trick too!
I'm gonna plasti-dip my windows.

I painted the rear bumper area and peeled it off. I just thought it looked a little cheap. I used tape to remove the plasti dip that I couldn't peel off with my finger. Anyways that's my experience.
Can you do the door handles with this stuff?

Well I peeled off the plasti-dip on my used to be black wheels. Nismo wheels just look so much better stock silver.
That's the awesomeness that is Plasti Dip. Don't want it no more, just peel off, done!
With all this hype, I plastidipped my plastidip!

^^lol
are you guys removing the extra plasti dip after the 4 hours of final drying or right when you're done spraying? |
Some are waiting as much as 24 to 48 hours prior to removal.
