The BCM is the computer that controls things that aren't directly related to the engine (like lights and locks and whatnot). I imagine it's very car-specific, and not a good idea to try to swap in one from a maxima. It's likely that our BCM already works correctly anyways, assuming you had the right switches on the steering column, just nobody has confirmed that.
