Just my opinion. (Reason I consider other drivers is because I can't stand seeing cars/trucks that have HID bulbs in halogen headlamps, and don't a projector kit. They are so god dam bright and blinding.)

However, I do have a video of it wired to the reverse light with a flasher if needed.
Awesome, I definetely am considering the flasher option as well. I believe I read your install thread a couple weeks ago. I do not know much about consideration of other drivers behind me, the rear fog light is low to the ground, usually braking in traffic when its bumper to bumper, so it would be really hard for a driver to see the for light lit up as a brake light. On the highway would be much different and if they are that close behind you to where the fog light might impose a burden on their vision, I say just drive faster

I have mine wired to the brake lights and a flasher; all hooked up to the OEM rocker-style light switch. I will get a video of the flashing brake light for you guys when I get home tonight.

Without a doubt, doing a F1-style brake light will attract the attention of the drivers behind you, no matter what or how they're driving. I've also driven in front of cops and never received any sort of reprimand for it, so it seems like its legal (or at least the cops don't care enough here to bother me about it). A couple of members here (specifically toxik) has seen it so maybe they can comment on it as well.

Weird... I am wondering the same thing. I know I'm bringing back a really old conversation, but does anyone know the bulb number for the rear fog / brake light? I purchased the light from the Z Store and tried contacting them, but they did not know what bulb size it was. Can anyone help me out?

If you have a bulb that is intact, the number should be somewhere on the bulb (usually the base). Or look it up in the Owner's Manual or FSM.

If you want to go to a different type of bulb (eg, incandescent to LED), the numerals in the number will usually match but the letters will change. Not always, but it's a pretty good rule-of-thumb.

With it being an aftermarket light, it won't be in the manual. And I was just curious if anyone knew upfront what bulb it was... it's a bitch to get underneath and access the light, so I was hoping to order the bulb and just have to remove it once. But I may just have to get under and check it out.

is there any way to make it blink faster than the one in that video? like X amount of fast blinks then solid? if so, how? i am an electronics novice, so forgive me if it's a dumb question.

edit: nevermind. looks like there are a ton of module options to make them do just about anything you want. this is more or less what i would want, except only wired to the fog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSia-ICRTig

honestly blinking bright red lights is extremely annoying... especially at night. it would distract me so much that i would lose some sense of distance.

The lights that flash 2-3 time and then go steady should to be enough to grab an inattentive driver's attention. Constantly flashing is just annoying.

edit: never mind. I wouldn't want a continuous blink either. just a slightly faster blink 3-5 times then solid
