Nissan 370Z Forum

Lets see your aftermarket seats!

I'll have to snap a picture... basically went from stretching my neck and hitting my helmet on the roof to having probably an inch gap.

Does the Sparco Chrono Road fit in the 370?

Status Racing Ring (Driver) and Ring GT (Passenger) seats with 5-point Status Racing harnesses:

Would definitely like to get a lower mount for the seats set up, height is a good inch and half higher than stock with the side brackets, sliders and seat bases. I have brought it up to Status and they said they are looking into some lower mounting solutions for the seats.
GaleForce and mag_black like this.

Looks great. I've been really happy with my Status seat. Did you get FRP, CF, or Kevlar?

Did you use the Planted/425 Motorsports seat bracket? Mine wasn't even level... I was pretty unhappy with the bracket.

Thanks, both seats are CF. You can see the weave in the one shot from the back. The drivers side mount is Wedge Engineering and the passenger side is Planted. You are correct, the planted mount is not level, I meant to bring that up to Status as well. Using the center holes on the side mount bracket for the left hand side and the top holes on the right hand side bracket leveled it right out, however that should hardly have been necessary.

I bought recaro pole positions, with the recaro side mount and rails it comes with, the seat is way too high. Only solution I see if fix mounted without rails, but I'd really like to have sliders so I can have other people beside me drive my car (instructors) ideas?

Don't know how it would look in the 370Z, but I remember the Porsche 997 GT3 Carbon Backed seats looked absolutely amazing in a 300ZX.

Someone should photoshop and see what it would look like.

From what I can tell, it might be tight. Those are 36.5 inches tall and 22.5 wide at the wings. Thats a little taller than most seats. In comparison, the Bride Zeta III and Status Ring are 34 inches high, The Zeta III is 23 inches at the wings, and the Ring is about 22.5.

Has anyone tried like the buddy club brackets for a 350z?
They are two seperate rails I used on my Z and it was slightly lower then the stock height and was about 2 inches lower then the wedge engineering.

Bride FO rails... They are level and about 1.5 inches lower then the planted bases. They fit a Status Ring seat NOT a Ring GT though.
