I love the looks of this shift knob. I think I'll get one for my 370z. Where did everyone get theirs? Sorry for thread-jacking

I got the knob from my local dealer.... you can get it anywhere. Even our sponsors on here have them.

And yes, it rocks.

i ordered the black aluminum knob about a week ago. can't wait for it to come in. I got mine from thezstore.com. I hope my install goes as smooth as the OP. Thanks for the how to tho, OP. i will def be using this in the next week or so :D

Does anyone have the cf nismo knob? With a carbonsignal cf gear shift cover I would imagine these two products would look great with each other

Np on the how-to... I figurd I would try to help out someone else with my DIY... Let me know how that turns out. I got the Ti because I liked the look of it with the brushed nickel in the interior of our Z's.

I just got the Nismo CF knob but haven't installed it because I need the strap wrench. I guess I'll be stopping by home depot on the way home!

kenchan 05-13-2011 02:45 PM

my titanium knob should be in my hands tonight.

will be installing tomorrow. :D (and yes, thanks to G2Z i have my strap wrench ready). :D

nynhex 05-13-2011 04:30 PM

I'm so undecided between the black knob and the TI/Brushed knob. I guess my touring interior is throwing me off a bit.

kenchan 05-13-2011 04:33 PM

if i was going to do a black knob id get the delrin one (matte-black) from passwordjdm and get a titanium ring for the bottom where it meets the boot. :)

Ken, you HAVE to post pics of your install and results! I am curious to see how easy the install went for you ;) I hope you like the looks (and fee) of the Ti knob once you get it installed... I just LOVE mine.

nynhex, I would go with the Ti personally. I looked at the CF and black knobs closely, and it didn't give that "feel" and "look" I was going for. It might be right for some modded Z's... but for mine, I wanted it tasteful, yet sporty and aggressive looking, you know? The Ti makes it look stock, but in a sporty kind of way..... like it was "meant" to be there. (same with my exhaust, but that's a diff't story ;))

Thanks G2Z, that's sort of the look I'm going for. "Factory sporty" lol. Most of the mods I'm doing on my Z will be very subtle and really just there for my amusement. I'm not trying to slap on every little part I see. Thanks for the advice, just need to figure out which vendor to buy from.

Also, as I'm guessing you're a cf fan like me, check out putting either a fake cf wrap or real cf cover for the alluminum gear shift cover thing.
