Ken the new knob looks great! What's prima nero? I thought mine looked dark enough :ugh2: maybe not?

Dang... so since you broke your strap wrench, how did you get the rest of the stock knob off? But yeah, at least you can get a lifetime warranty on the strap wrench... ;)

Looks good Kenchan, that picture of the stock knob turned half way had me laughing lol.

I still haven't man'd up yet to try and put mine on, need to get that strap wrench.

kenchan 05-14-2011 06:36 AM

G2Z- thanks! it feels good too. :p

Prima Nero is a water bases sauce for interior plastics and rubber.
Detailersdomain sells it. It has a nice matte finish matter than aerospace303.

I used my oil filter wrench to get it off after trying three other pipe wrenches. It was seized. After an hr trying to salvage the knob I decided it was cheaper to get a new one. Hahaha :D

Thanks. on mine there was no way in hell that strap wrench would have enough umph to turn it. It only took me 3 tries to snap the strap. :D

I'm having the same issue. The knob is on so tight it seems that strap wrench isnt working. Does any one have any additional suggestions to get this thing off!!!!!

Dealer or kill the stock knob by using oil filter wrench. :D

You are now also hereby obliged to discuss and post pics of your installation upon completion! ;)

bflosabre91 05-16-2011 10:01 AM

this thread should be stickied, imo. noone asked, but ill post pics hopefully this week when i install the black aluminum knob for those who are interested in how it looks. I couldn't find any installed pics of it but i went for it anyway:happydance:

kenchan 05-16-2011 10:26 AM

yah, i wish someone would make an aluminum base ring for our knobs like the PWJDM ones. then we can change colors to our liking, etc.

although the current setup with the Ti knob looks
