I think its variable how much loctite they put on. Mine just had a couple of threads around it...thats the part you have to break when your twisting it hard. Once you do its very very simple to remove. If you do remove it well buy another when its time to sell if you can not part with the knob your putting back on. Its not like your not going to sell the thing when the time comes.

I planned to keep the knob, just taking if off for a short shifter and I was gonna put a Tk knob on. Since it won't come off I'm thinking about canceling the order.
