Default 350Z air ducts on 370Z ?

I'm sorry if that questions has been already asked but I didnt find a post by using the search function - so if already answered please be kind enough to point me to the right thread.

I installed my STILLEN G3 recently and was wondering if its possible to use the 350Z late model air inducts for the 370Z front bumper.

On eBay for example I found
07 08 09 NISSAN 350Z VQ35HR DUAL CARBON INTAKE AIR DUCT - eBay (item 370472391506 end time Mar-05-11 22:54:34 PST)

as anyone tried if the angle of the 350Z and 370Z front bumper is a close match ? to me it looks quite similar but dont know for sure.

would be great to get some feedback before I order the set even though its quite cheap so if noone tried already I'm in for try-out.

Thanks,
Christian

Send a PM to this guy:

Esprit Wing and Varis Airduct on White Nismo

He might be able to answer your question a little better. Its on a Nismo version....but similar in location I believe.

Not sure if that is the best idea in my opinion, what will you do if it rains? Getting water vapor into the intake stream can mess with the MAF sensors and create some start/drivability issues.

my friend's 350z has one air duct, I looked inside and it was designed for water to fall DOWN after it went in, not directly at the intake

Sorry for the thread revival. Any feedback on this? I have a chance to get a pair of 350z air ducts and I want to be sure they will fit.

You have to cut about an inch off to make it fit if you have stillen G3 intakes.

You want air ducts that will put air into the bumper area for the intakes... You want to avoid putting direct air onto the filter. It has been tested locally to starve the intake by forcing air directly on the intakes. It causes a sort of air shield around the filter...

Below is my new intake duct installed with the bumper foam shaved to direct air into the bumper area. The cooling plate has also been removed.
