yah, all recommendations above are great. i would use alcohol to clean, then depending on how much texture there is i use adhesion promoter, then use VHB tape while applying

yah, all recommendations above are great. i would use alcohol to clean, then depending on how much texture there is i use adhesion promoter, then use VHB tape while applying heat. get both surfaces near hot to the touch using either the sun (if you're not in a snowbelt state in winter) or heatgun/ir lamp, and also heat up the tape.
then push down firmly for a good 30sec or so. keep pushing it every few hours for the first 24hrs. dont get the car wet while the adhesive cures. |
