removing splash guards???

Trying to located a replacement 370z but having a hard time finding one with no splash guards. Aside for not wanting to pay for them I also don't like the

Trying to located a replacement 370z but having a hard time finding one with no splash guards. Aside for not wanting to pay for them I also don't like the look. Just wondering if the splash guards are removed will there be any damage to the paint underneath or fading? Looks like my choices will be paying the extra for the splash guards or having to wait 3mo and order a 2011. At the very least I'd like to just remove them and sell them off but want to make sure there won't be any paint damage or holes once removed. Thanks
