removing splash guards???
Trying to located a replacement 370z but having a hard time finding one with no splash guards. Aside for not wanting to pay for them I also don't like the look. Just wondering if the splash guards are removed will there be any damage to the paint underneath or fading? Looks like my choices will be paying the extra for the splash guards or having to wait 3mo and order a 2011. At the very least I'd like to just remove them and sell them off but want to make sure there won't be any paint damage or holes once removed. Thanks

I've removed the rear splash guards and there was no paint damage underneath the covered area. After a wash it was fine. Guards were held on by mounting screws in the wheel well, and a 10mm bolt on the bottom
I'll be removing the fronts this weekend, but Im fairly certain it will be the same. |
My front and rear splash guards was removed before installing my cf lip kit and no damage at all!

was just looking at a 370z with splash guards in person today and they appear to also use adhesive to stay on. How hard is this to remove and what do I use?

The 370Z splash guard are 100% better loking than the 350Z. I think the Z looks ugly without them.
Hey, but that is your car and choice. |

To the rest: in regards to looks I just like the Z without them. My last 370z I purposely ordered it without splash guards and loved how it looked without. Went by Nissan today to take another look and verified that I definitely don't want splash guards. I've located a Z that fits my build except it has splash guards, if I can remove them without damage I will try to get this car. Otherwise I'll just order and wait 3mo. Either way, no splash guards for me. |
