thats the one question i have left before i try it. i might PM the guy working on it to see what he says. I would think that since he is changing all the interior light colors, that the orange panel would have to come out otherwise its going to discolor whatever he puts behind it?

I thought that too when I read the DIY for the LED color change.
I may attempt to pull it apart in the near future and see also.
If you beat me to it please post a DIY.
