Regarding the cost, the biggest factor that makes the price so much higher than it should be is the current ¥ to $ conversion. The value of our US Dollar is ridiculously low. If we were back in 2008, the lip would probably be more like $600-700. Since the core of the issue is the poor value of our currency, it affects everything we import from other countries; especially Japan since their ¥ is so strong right now.

They're feeling great about buying from the US though, that's for sure.

I did forget about that, I believe it was the beginning of this month a lot of Japanese companies redid their prices and for the US market is jumped up another 5-10%.
