You could try repairing the area using a heat gun, working small sections at a time. Smooth out and rapidly cool it. But, be very, very carefull not to overheat

You could try repairing the area using a heat gun, working small sections at a time. Smooth out and rapidly cool it. But, be very, very carefull not to overheat the area. I've only tried this on my old car with a blow dryer and it got some of the smaller scratches out. Try on a hidden portion 1st to see if it will work.
Just make sure a replacement is available just in case.
