rich- try some Prima Nero or Aerospace303 on the scuffs. i recommend people use this stuff BEFORE you have scuffs because it prevents most of it. (stay away from Armorall!!!)
if all fails, i would get some interior paint and spray the bottom portion. do your door dynamat and speakers while you have the panel off to paint, i guess.
