Hood strut-shock install

Just received the carbon-fiber model of the hood damper and have encountered the same problems. One bolt doesn't seem to be enough to keep the bracket from being pushed forward

Default Hood Strut

Just received the carbon-fiber model of the hood damper and have encountered the same problems. One bolt doesn't seem to be enough to keep the bracket from being pushed forward and the hood appears to be slightly bowed up. Looking for a solution other than stripping the factory bolt trying to tighten it to the n'th degree...
