Why do some people on here always talk about weight savings like a couple of pounds is going to make any difference on a daily-driver? I understand some people track and race their cars but that's going in another direction. If people want carbon for the look, so be it. I'm sure a lot of people bought the Z for its looks as well. It's your car, do what you think looks good. You'll be the one driving it every day. I personally like carbon accents on cars if done right.

I just looked at the stage 2 mirror covers. I don't see this "half" covered problem that the OP said.

it perfectly replaces the OEM one

Aaaand isn't that how the OEM looks like but with CF instead of paint?

that is how the oem one looks... ive never liked how the oem looked... half painted only to match the color of the z.... and i dont like the split line... in the beginning i planned on painting the mirror full solid red.... like painting the unpainted part the rest of the color.... so that it would be a full solid color on the mirror no breakage... no lines... but then i wanted to get cf instead... sooo i waited for a full cover that covers the whole mirror with no breakage going from carbon to black plastic again... thats why i like the stage 1... if you want the stage 2 then go for it bro... like i said they weigh close to nothing and thats what my bolt ons are for... it aint like im adding a carbon fiber quarter panel... or a carbon roof top... and its not like every guy i meet is gonna be like you and be like OMG there is a 1/8 gap on the edges.... its f*cking ugly...

and what? its a stick on? thats freaking worse....

just saying dood... if your really concerned about the weight i added with the carbon covers then remove ur oem ones and rock the small tiny carbon fiber ones... i dunno what you call them but... im sure they weigh a hell of alot less then our bulky ones...

I would not worry about the weight of these. You will add more weight than two of these things by just putting on boot instead of tennis shoes. Or better yet leaving your cell phone behind or not putting the nissan manual in the glove box would be more weight than these things. Got to be crazy to worry about these adding weight. Maybe you just need to go on a diet, just some food for thought.
