Arrow Help Us Develop The Design For New Carbon Fiber Engine Covers

Alliance is making their CF engine covers for the 370Z and G37, and instead of just copying the covers exactly, we want to gather some feedback from you guys to make a more desirable product. Yes, I know this is 370Z, but as soon as these are done, 350Z covers will be developed. Mods please dont move this to the 370Z section considering a total of like 5 people go there.

Here is the two part cover. I messed around it in MS Paint and here's an example of what I think would look good. But I want your guys feedback.

First, the whole piece would be carbon fiber; there wouldn't be any silver areas or colored areas. That much isn't really up for debate.
IMO, the best look would be having the dimpled sections in the middle flattened. The yellow box area would be raised up to meet the silver sections, to create a flat bridge across the piece, where the raised Alliance logo would be. I also think it would look better to maintain the holes on the lower piece so that the Nissan hamburger could be maintained to break up the all carbon fiber color.

i don't think all CF would look as good as some offset with some color. def maybe allow the silver section up to user input? i.e. i can get red CF there and the rest can go normal CF?

i kinda like the nissan burger and the vvel tags, reminds me what my engine is
if those can be optionally integrated i think you'd have a winner!

if i was to do it, i'd just get the silver part CF look and call it a day. not like im going to be driving with the hood open.

I would like it red or blue so that it matches the car

Like I posted in my350 "I think the cover should be raised to match the silver sections like you had mentioned. Except I would leave the Nissan hamburger out of the design and put a raised Z logo instead." Giving the option to have these color matched will be a big plus!

Here is an Idea to throw around guys:

I LOVE this idea and would pick one up. I especially like the red with the Z logo. If you could do the color portions in CF and the black portion more a flat finish (heck, even flat black on CF would look great), I think you have a winner.

in my depiction everything is exposed CF but the picture when scaled down makes that hard to recognize but at full size it looks killer!

Maybe you can make a universal design that allows us to put either the Z or the Nissan burger!

The red one is something I would purchase at the right price.

Unfortunately, laying this multi-color concept up in a mold would be very complicated..
