AK, i haen't looked at them lately so I forget the shape, but perhaps one can use an adhesive mount in the crossbar. And if you don't want it stuck

AK, i haen't looked at them lately so I forget the shape, but perhaps one can use an adhesive mount in the crossbar. And if you don't want it stuck to the bar permanently perhaps it could be secired with cable ties?
I even tried using a Manfrotto Super Clamp, which is used in photographic gear, but it doesn't open wide enough around that crossbar.
