just got a HERO2: Surf Edition. Can't wait to play around with it using the settings that have been recommended.

Here's about 7 camera angles i messed around with. Using AK's mount in the first one.

Cool! I just found out my (early) b-day present from the Fiance is a GoPro Hero 3+ Black, so I've been looking at various mounting options and tricks. My goal is to find a solution for mounting it outside the car, facing forward with no wind noise, in order to get great exhaust sound with the clips. I'll play with the various doors, and putting foam back there etc, but thinking it may come down to plugging in an external stereo mic and mounting that back by the license plate area kinda tucked away, and maybe with a foam cover over it.

Here's another of just the wheels. Tried to catch some of the cool effects that happen on video.

here are a few different examples of shots positions.

This is a shot firing backward attached to the glass with no external mic other than the enclosed open back panel that comes with the Hero 3. Minimal wind noise and you get a nice (less overpowering) exhaust note

Cbtech, great audio on those clips I'll have to try some of that mounting. What exhaust setup are you running?

All I had at the time is short tails :) love the way they sound!

I was playing around with different GoPro mounting locations the other day using a Hero 3+ Black, a Hero 3 Black and a Hero 2. I didn't take any pics of the mounted cameras unfortunately, but the Hero 3+ Black was facing rearwards with an open back door, suction cup mount right beside the license plate. 1080p/60. The Hero 3 was facing forward with open back door with foam inside the door, 1080p/30 suction cupped to the front right fender on the top of it. The Hero 2 was mounted on a roll bar mount off my harness bar in the car, set to 720p/60.

A quick video I put together with the clips:

lol, your gopro will be all scratched up, no? ever heard of suspension stroke? :D

Hence the butthole clenching. It did pretty well for the video up til the end. It got a very tiny scratch at the top of the case

What program did you use to get the picture in picture video?

I edited the clips in iMovie. It allows for only one picture in picture at a time though, so I'm looking for another editor that will let me do multiple pip's if I want to.
