Default Existing Fog Lamp Wires!

(I hope that this is not in the wrong section...)

So I looked under my rear bumper, and what do you know, there is already a wire for the Fog Lamp! But where does it go?! It just goes inside the car, somewhere!

I think the wire only exists for the 2010 models. Does anyone know about this?

Is it connected to the fog light replacement?
Or is it maybe a wire for your trunk lock or license plate light?

It is a wire that is clearly meant for the Fog Light, but I don't know where it goes. I mean, it MUST be connected to something, somewhere!

The Fog Light DIY does not mention this cable.

Maybe there is also a switch connection in your mid console?

I am sorry but I do not have a camera at the moment. Just put your head under your rear bumper with a flashlight and you will see it.

Unless, you have a Canadian, European, or Asian market 370Z the fog light is connected to nothing, zip, nada. If you live in the one of the markets above then on your turn signal stalk is another rotating bezel that turns the fog light on and off. The one shown below is for a righthand drive 370Z.

DIY of complete FOG LAMP install (different than the thread I posted above)

It runs to a orange wire in the passenger side kick panel you can plug the fog lamp into the plug under the rear bumper and tap into the wire in front and add a switch and your good to go

sweet! Have you tried it yet? and not to sound like an idiot, but what and where is the passenger side kick panel? I noticed the plug to nowhere the other day when I hooked up my rearview cam.

I remember seeing that wire and thought the same thing when i was changing out my rear turn signals. I never did chase down the wire though. I do remember that harness that was attached to nothing.

I too don't know where the passenger side panel actually is... How do we get access to this?
