It runs to a orange wire in the passenger side kick panel you can plug the fog lamp into the plug under the rear bumper and tap into the wire in front and add a switch and your good to go

sweet! Have you tried it yet? and not to sound like an idiot, but what and where is the passenger side kick panel? I noticed the plug to nowhere the other day when I hooked up my rearview cam.

I too don't know where the passenger side panel actually is... How do we get access to this?

I bought my car pre-owned and the prior owner had turned the fog light into another brake light. Im not sure if i like it or not but most likely I'll replace it with the smoked lense.

You can use the instructions for the illuminated kick plates installation to show where and what the panels are, and how to remove them.

you have to remove the kick plate to get to the kick panel.
I can take some pics of the wire later if needed.

Here's a hint...

(pull off the entire panel by removing that nut and snapping the panel out.)

I too am trying to make use of this existing wire. Modshack's pic shows the driver's side fuse panel (which a great shot of how to install an add-a-circuit!) but not the harness from the rear fog light. Does the existing fog light harness end in the corresponding spot on the passenger side?

Using an existing (currently useless) wiring harness will save me lots of time and energy in wiring up my rear fog light.

Edit: Weird, but I found the answer to my question under a search for "heated seat switch" (thanks to wstar for his post here Rear Fog Light Install?). The rear harness apparently hooks up to the BCM behind the kick cover in the p-side footwell, pin #24)!
