As much as I love the look, as I mentioned previously: I didn't want to lose my airbag and I like the steering wheel I currently have.

Still, the fact that it's "only" steering wheel controls gives me some confidence. I wouldn't mind splicing some extensions on a radio wiring harness, but much less likely to muck around with air bag circuitry.

Pretty much what I'm considering... A friend of mine has some extra Deutsche DTM 8-pin male/female connector sets so an option is to just splice and solder the control cables and use the connectors in the middle. Regarding the length of the harness: each side is a different length, so while one side can reach, the other cannot and they merge near the connector.

From the connector to the steering wheel controls, I haven't unwrapped the wiring so I'm not sure how it looks on the control end. The matching male connector (from the airbag side) goes to the clock spring so there would be no point in I'm not messing with that side since, from what I can tell, they don't sell the female side separately from the clock spring.

Yes, I actually extended the harness with the Deatsch DTM harness as planned. I've been studying for an AWS certification so I kinda forgot about updating this.

The spacer is approximately 2.5-3" closer and creates a MUCH nicer driving position. Obviously, it's a bit expensive so it won't be for everyone and there's also the alternative like OptionZero presented with the NRG/Works Bell hubs/spacer and deep corn wheels like the Nardi. However, as I mentioned, I wanted to keep the airbag and this works perfectly for what I wanted.
