Actually; I would like to see a study of wet filtering versus dry filtering. I remember when I went through my smoking phase, the filter would be much more brown if I wet the filter a bit with my saliva first. I assume that meant it was doing a better job of filtering.

Might be best just to make a new thread.

Well I will (hopefully) be installing my H&R spacers this weekend and my air filter!!! Fresh air here I come!

Seriously... this is a great help. I suffer from bad allergies and the in cabin filters really help during pollen season.

I looked at the work order from the dealer and it said. "Check for air filter." The comment back was "no filter available for 2009." Which is technically correct, but it sounds like they were being lazy. I'm going to call them tomorrow!

I wonder how much the Nissan brand filter is?

One other item relocated the Ipod connection to the glove box to give more room to the very small center console PITA

I am in the middle of installing the cabin air filter. Just to clarify, you remove the glove box cover by pulling on the hinges at the bottom and then disconnect the snap holding the nylon cord. You must remove 7 screws to get to where the filter is installed - 4 at the top, 2 on the sides and 1 at the bottom which you can't see until you remove the glove box door. This is where I am having a problem. The filter goes in fine but there are four tabs on the cover that extend into the filter box that are preventing the reinstallation of the cover. Has anyone run into this problem? Upon further review I don't believe CAF 1792 is the right size filter. If you look inside the filter holder there are runners that hold the filter away from the fan and the four tabs on the plastic cover are designed to do the same thing. This filter is too thick to slide on top of the runners and to fit on the tabs. I think you need a thinner filter.

Maybe the label part of the filter goes on the side that is not visiable when it is installed mine was a little snug but got it to fit.
it was a guess on the filter this is the one that works in the Nissan Maxima and some of the othe Nissans
