They [pants] are even tighter now!

A video popped up from Morimoto in my FB stories...almost busted a stitch

Seriously though, I’m collecting cans/selling blood for my Z’s “play money” fund.

I would like to see the beam pattern on a wall at 25ft.

I just installed LED bulbs in my truck headlights. Easy install, and they do make a difference. Got the bulbs from

https://headlightrevolution.com/

From what I read. You can use LED bulbs with projector lens. The best bulbs are the 55w HID, followed by LED's, then 35w HID. The LED's being the easiest to install.

Ha, I subscribe to their YouTube channel. I assume you bought the GTR Ultra 2?

I would love to upgrade to 55w ballast, maybe when my bulbs are done and I’ll upgrade all st the same time.

Yep. It's almost a plug and play kit.

How is the spread/throw of the LEDs installed on your truck? I haven't paid much attention lately but from all of the videos/comparisons I saw in the past their performance was nice from up close, but the distance was severely lacking (compared to even halogens) and the cutoff was pretty much nonexistent with light everywhere even when using projector headlights.

Big improvement over the halogens I had. The spread and distance is a lot better. The cutoff is the same as factory. If the factory is crappy, then these will be crappy. You have to watch on how you install the bulbs. Because you can put them in up side down. Which will throw off the beam pattern.

So and update: Jon at Z1 posted some pictures of these and someone compared them with the 78Works lights and they look to be the same Morimoto lights; I'm guessing 78Works is the importer for Japan. Beyond that, he [Jon] did say the lighting was improved over the factory HIDs to that's a positive for anyone interested in them

I perused that thread. Sounds like 78works is the japanese distributor for Morimoto

Do we know if Morimoto is making the tails too?

Not so sure about the tails. Haven't heard so much as a rumor about them from anyone Stateside. I'm thinking those may actually be from 78Works themselves or a strong maybe that Morimoto is using the headlights to gauge the market for aftermarket Z lighting products similar to how Verus did by releasing their diffuser prior to going all-in with their more comprehensive aero...

I know everyone is probably eager to see prices, and here they are. Not bad in my opinion.

I think it's a good price for an updated look and better light output.

I wonder if they'll release with lighter housing colors. Gloss black housing might seem weird on light colored cars.
