It works because its not too crazy, and it seems to be pretty functional with large openings for air flow the problem with the stock Z bumper is the nose

the problem with the stock Z bumper is the nose ends abruptly, giving the front a stubby look the nismo versions and many aftermarket ones extend the nose. it just creates a cleaner flow. some are longer than others, your taste may vary i wish there were better sides and rear to go with the fuji

I have a plan to install the AEM CAI with extra large filter pods so that it sits right in those vents. |

slightly off topic -
Wasn't there some discussion that you don't want the vent directly in front of the intake, because that actually hurts its ability to draw air due to turbulance or whatever? It was during a discussion of cutting a vent into the bumper, but i can't recall

Dirt getting on the filters however is definitely going to be a big issue, but at least I can get the filter out through the wheel well. I could even put a dust filter behind the grill, or even a rain sock over the filter like what they use on motorbikes. Those vents are just crying out to be used. Perhaps I'll run a pipe to the brake rotors instead. |
