I'm curious to know why you and the OP have a desire to do this? The weight savings will be minimal at best, and the amount of work and money needed to make it look nice will be pretty high.

nothing to do with weight savings, if I was worried about that I would go on a diet and shave off another 30 lbs
honestly just the look is appealing to me, I know they make the replacement kits for f80 m3's and 911's so i was just curious
