Passenger airbag question

My passenger airbag light with no passenger goes out after I start the car. Should
it stay on to show disabled with no passenger?

My wife has a 2015 Rogue and I have a 2017 Murano. The passenger airbag light stays on while driving with no passenger present. My 2016 Maxima was reflashed also for this.Not sure if the Z is different because its a small car and all airbags need to be enabled all the time or this was missed on this particular car. My concern is the car having the latest software for the airbags for safety concerns. Anyone that has experience with what their car shows would be appreciated.

That's normal behavior. Mine is off with no one in the seat. It is also off with my wife in the seat. It is lit when my 5 year old son sits in the seat though.

It would be annoying to have a warning light on all the time. Just my opinion.
