Default New Easy 3 Switch Blank Console Mod

Hey guys I wanted to share what I just found. A friend just picked up a new Chevrolet Malibu and the removable rubber phone holder fits almost perfectly in the void left when the blanks are removed. Only slight trimming of the left and right edges would be needed for prefect fitment. A slight bit of plastic needs to be cut away for it to fit but as far as I can tell it hasn't altered the overall strength of the console.
I'll post a picture of my phone in it when I have a second phone near me. The holder is 4" deep, I have a galaxy s8+ and it protrudes 2". What do you guys think?
Thanks to rainman1ne for finding out that the part number for this is 22909725

I'm thinking you could make a frame out of the original blank frame to support this unit cleanly.

I agree with that I'll play around a bit and show you guys what I end up with for fitment. Just a little busy at the moment so I won't get to it for a couple days.

Awesome, we need the part number. I want to add wireless charging and this could be the part.

I picked up a wireless charger today haha. I figure I'm just going to steal the accessory plug in the console and put a usb dongle in it. Adhere the charger to the rubber. I am trying to find the part with no success. Hopefully my friend can find out when he goes to get a replacement from chev.

Nice I'm stuck with seat heat switches and a center HU screen lock bypass switch.

I don't why everybody isn't ordering this. It's 3D printed to fit perfectly into the switch area of the cup holder, not some piece of rubber stuffed down in there.
