If you want this kind of look, there's Vinyl applications that can get you close to that look that are reversible if you get sick of it. My buddy had it on his old Supra, (the Poopra) You can see some of the texture in his FS ad here:

Just an idea that no one ever should try without testing first... I wonder if you could bedliner over plastidip to make it more easily removable.
