How do you remove the auto gear indicator plate on the 370Z?

How do you remove the auto gear indicator plate on the 370Z?

Just pop it off with a plastic tool

If I recall correctly, it just snaps on and off. Of course, all of my parts are buried somewhere in the garage, so I have no reference other than from memory.
