Out of all the possibilities, it sounds like water maybe coming from where the A pillar trim, etc was removed for the roof wrap. Or, maybe some sealant wasn't put

Out of all the possibilities, it sounds like water maybe coming from where the A pillar trim, etc was removed for the roof wrap.
Or, maybe some sealant wasn't put on somewhere underneath the car and water is coming in that way. I saw it before when I was a tech for Mercedes Benz. Some sealant wasn't applied underneath the car and water filled the area underneath the carpet and soaked the carpet. If this was the case for your car, I'm sure you would have to have several inches of water for it to reach the seat belt.
