Your hood sits a lot higher than mine when not latched, if you can screw the latches in more to reduce their height and maybe try removing the rubber stoppers to see if they are causing the problem

Here is mine unlatched.

Please dont take these measurements as the holy grail but might be able to see if there is a drastic difference between ours.

The way your hood sits unlatched is exactly what i would expect mine to sit like. The fact that mine didnt sit straight when it was off the car means it's the hood yet seibon refuses to admit to that. I should just sue them.
