I'll take a pic of mine when i head out to lunch and you can see what it looks like. I don't think mine is that crooked but you may just need to raise or lower those latches to make it work.

Mine didn't fit right initially either until i adjusted the latch positions

LMAO I was just on the phone with Seibon and they are trying to tell me the right way to close a hood is to push down on it (any kind of hood) and you should never drop it. I'm debating sending them a copy of my owners manual. They also said that it's normal to "flex" the carbon fiber hood to make it fitment. Its a normal "adjustment".

After 2 weeks of taking it off and putting it on all kinds of videos and pictures only to have them feed me that crap and say its not a defective hood...I'm ******* done with these guys. Never buy Seibon again.

Your hood sits a lot higher than mine when not latched, if you can screw the latches in more to reduce their height and maybe try removing the rubber stoppers to see if they are causing the problem

I had the exact same problem, drivers side latch would essentially bounce off the locking mechanism when dropped. Screwing that latch further into the hood a few turns did the trick, but make sure those rubber stoppers aren't sticking out too far also. Don't give up so quickly, I think you can make this work with a few adjustments.

I can definitely "make" it work i just feel like i shouldnt be contorting a carbon fiber hood to make it fit the way it should naturally. I'm probably going to end up opening up the holes in the hinges to let me slide it side to side a little and shim up one side to even it with the other.

You're definitely right, you shouldn't be contorting the hood to make it fit and it's pretty moronic that Seibon was telling you to do just that. I really don't know what's going on with them.

Let us know how it goes

Here is mine unlatched.
( Click to show/hide )

Please dont take these measurements as the holy grail but might be able to see if there is a drastic difference between ours.

The way your hood sits unlatched is exactly what i would expect mine to sit like. The fact that mine didnt sit straight when it was off the car means it's the hood yet seibon refuses to admit to that. I should just sue them.
