Forgot entirely about this thread. The battery has held up nicely since I've installed it. I've gone as long as a week and a half without turning the car on and it still cranks just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Any of you guys who gutted your interior have a dash cubby piece that you want to get rid of? I have a project that I want to do.
Here's a picture of what I want. |
hi
Z1 test pipe weights 4,85 lbs each have invidia gemini at home too. I will weight it and post results on forum:hello: |
invidia catback weights 56,6lbs alone (without gaskets and screws):
- Tips: 1,3lbs - Muffler: 25,8 lbs - Resonator pipes: 13,2lbs for both - X pipe (thats not really, an Xpipe just two straight line): 6,6 lbs - Straight pipe: 9,7lbs for both - gaskets and screws:2,4 lbs So the invidia catback weigths a little bit more than stock catback , 2,6 lbs more not bad for a full dual pipes catback with dual muffler. |
I'm sure these were covered but I scaled them today:
2009-2014 Nismo Parts: -Nismo Front sway bar: 9.4 lb -Nismo Catback exhaust total weight: 66lb Nismo H pipe: 13.6 lb Nismo Midpipe: 17.4 lb Nismo muffler: 35lb Meisterschaft Axleback Muffler (370Z Nismo version with 130mm tips): 30.4 lb Enkei RPF1 9.5 x 18 with 275/35/18 Toyo RR : 45.2lb Enkei RPF1 10.5 x 18 with 275/35/18 Toyo RR : 46lb |

I found a bunch of weights glued to the inside of my wheels :icon14:
Removing them should save me a couple of pounds of unsprung weight  |

This was the easiest 30lbs I’ve lost on the car yet. Starts the hateful bitch right up |
^^^ Any modification required to use it in the stock location?
Also is it good for a car with a system? My baby still needs to lose the weight of an added sub system (52 lbs) |

Sorry to revive an old thread but does anyone know how much weight I could save out of curiosity going with lightweight pistons, rods and billet crank if any?

Not a reduction, but IS a weight:
The Racebred 4 inch splitter for the Nismo V1 bumper weighs 18 lbs and 12 oz It extends back to the rear of the front bumper at the sides, straight across on the rear. Will be weighing the 9LR splitter eventually, which extends much further back. |

Guys concerning weight distribution and engine bay heat reduction. Did anybody relocate radiator to the trunk of the car?

Oil temperature isnt issues. Issue is weight and engine bay temperature. I have two oil coolers in the rows and I will most probably relocate them to the centre because brakes and tires are overheating after several laps. Over winter I will gutt my nismo and thinking about realocating some of the weight to the rear of the car. Thats why I´m asking is somebody did this with 370z. I know about many people doing this to BMW´s but none with Z. |
If you're from Prague then if I were in your shoes I'd contact https://www.thunderlane.eu/ and talk with him about custom suspension for yourself, so you can mitigate the heavier front with proper setup

Questions to the extreme weight saving projects.
Concerning doors gutting. Did you remove reinforcements(door bars)? If yes, how you remove upper at the edge of the doors? Is this reinforcement welded to doors or not? |
Just to chime in, I just designed some 3d printed tweeter delete panels which can be found on makerworld here:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/160...fileId-1687607 The tweeters weighed in at ~370g for the pair, and these panels are 26.85g for both. Every gram counts! |
