so im ready to upgrade my clutch

hey guys how ya doing? well im ready to up grade my clutch on my 09 370z. my stock clutch at 40k Miles already feel it slipping and i hear

Default so im ready to upgrade my clutch

hey guys how ya doing? well im ready to up grade my clutch on my 09 370z. my stock clutch at 40k Miles already feel it slipping and i hear a bearing whine noise wen i release the clutch after hard thoughts and so many brands (ACT, Exedy,est) to go with i decided to go with the JWT clutch combo regardless of the noise it creates. well my question is other then the flywheel and clutch what else is recommended for me to change? and will changing my clutch get rid of the whine noise that i get wen i release my clutch? your opinion will be really help full cuz im really rookie at all this

I put the Z1 lightweight flywheel/clutch combo in my car and its my favorite mod so far. The flywheel is loud, but it feels like a whole new car now (more power, quicker acceleration and no throttle lag) also the clutch is rated at the same clamping force as the stock unit so it is less likely to have any negative effects on the CSC

I HEARD (key word) that you should go ahead with an aftermarket CSC as well when doing the clutch/flywheel

Can't wait for mine. But I'm going to get the most out of my stock first.

I appologize OP shouldn't have said what I did, I was upset and I appologize to the maker of south bend clutches. What I said was unappropriate and they have had a lot of success with our cars. GL

the Z1 clutch/flywheel combo comes with stainless steel lines as well. Only reason to Upgrade the CSC is when the clutch has a higher clamping force than the original (which the Z1 does not)

Exactly how is the flywheel loud? I understand it's a fast moving metal part, but why does the noise increase? Even for a stock Z, is it worth the upgrade?

I got the ACT flywheel (18lbs) and the stock is 30ish pounds (cant remember exact) its louder in low rpm's, (2,000-2,500) and the noise is just the teeth of the flywheel. The lighter ones are a single disk and no dampeners, it is louder at those rpm's I mentions and at idle you will here is slightly. Some ppl think something is wrong with the car but there isnt, also, with a lighter flywheel you will have to rev higher to get the car to move otherwise you will get a lot of judder or your car will put out and die lol.

It is louder then stock and you WILL notice it.

It kind of sounds like there is rocks in your transmission at idle. Almost a diesel truck idle kind of sound.
