I am going from a Base Open diff to a Sport VLSD. I'm swapping out the entire pumpkin. What else is needed? I got new bushings. It looks like a direct replacement.
If you have the complete pumpkin (stub shafts & all) i'm pretty sure you just bolt it in,,,though i would R&R rear crossmember bushing & you say you have the bushings.
Also,Think about an up-graded rear cover w/higher capacity from Z1 Motorsports.
Ver Nice piece.
Also,,,if you phone them-they could give you a definite answer about compatibility.
I'm thinking where people are having issues;is when the try to swap internal parts from a normally open base diff/to a diff from a manual....as myself chose to install the Quaife Helical Locker in mine-designed for the base & retaining my 3.357:1 gearing.
Hope this helps,as the 2 speed sensor's are located on the rear cover & read off of the toner ring's on the stub shaft's...therefore speedo will be accurate & abs, cruise, etc.. will work properly. Z1's# (770)838-7777

Yep, replaced the bushings with Whiteline bushings and went ahead and replaced the sway bar with a whiteline sway bar as well. Love the upgrade so far. Thanks for the clarification. It bolted right in without any issues.

The reason I came here is because my 6th gear cruise control does not engage. I was wondering if I was missing a part or something that would cause that to happen, or if I needed to do a relearn of some sort. I am tuned with UpRev.
