HELP - Fuel Gauge issues

I just started having issues... I get in with a 1/4 tank, then within 2-3 miles it's on 1 dot. Then it goes from 50 miles or so til empty

I get in with a 1/4 tank, then within 2-3 miles it's on 1 dot. Then it goes from 50 miles or so til empty to -- within a couple more miles. It has happened twice in 2 weeks.
