It's not so much about the proper sub-forum as it is about posting the same thing more than once. No need to post more than once.

It can sometimes be difficult to pick the right sub-forum for a new thread. Pick the one that makes the most sense to you and a moderator can move it if he/she disagrees. It this particular case, Engine & Drivetrain makes the most sense to me. W/SM/S/R doesn't really fit unless you were asking if it would be covered under warranty.

Problem solved.

You were right Southark. The shift lever switch had not been properly snapped into it's receptacle at the factory (probably on a Friday afternoon or Monday morning).
