The lowest I have been downshifting before coming to a stop is 3rd and then neutral and the SRM seems to like that a lot better. This is not scientific by any means. By the way I took it to the dealer today and of course they could not replicate it and they could hardly even understand what I was talking about.
did you drive it with them in the car, so you could recreate it?

No I probably should have. But like I said it doesn't happen all the time so I may not have been able to make it happen myself. I guess until the transmission goes out completely nothing is going to happen.
