Very good point. I would assume "more mainstream" would be relative. I would expect to see them closer to the 3K range if I were to make a guess, but it is merely that, a guess. I would imagine a "mainstream" coilover from JRZ would be priced closer what the Ohlins were for the 350z($3k). Not trying to contradict what I previously said, but I find it hard to believe they would make a product in the same price range as the HKS, Teins, etc considering their high quality standards. I do however expect it to be significantly lower than their RS Pro's which are usually around the $4500 range. As of now it is too soon to tell so all we have is speculation on prices.

Ok... someone has.

But:

1) They changed the ring-pinion couple within their original 370Z diff box?

2) Or they changed the whole diff box, putting on an used 350Z one, already upgraded to 4.08?

It seems that there are different flavors of R200 diff...

Here we go with two OEM Nissan figure:

350Z (manual or automatic trans is tha same, only the ratio is different)

370Z (manual or automatic trans is the same, only the ratio is different)

From the images and parts numbers, we can see that 370Z diff comes with 4 satellites..... 350Z with only 2 satellites...

The other components seem to be more or less the same, but not EXACTLY the same...

At the end...

Are we sure that aftermarket 350Z ring-pinion couple (4.08, 3.9 etc..) fits 370Z?

Thank you very much to everyone giving his opinion or sharing his own personal experience, bye!

Let me say, that you can install a 350Z 6MT aftermarket LSD , into the 370Z 6MT pumpkin. That is what I know for certain. There maybe some different parts, but in this application, it's a direct swap.

I wasn't speaking to whether a ring-pinion swap is possible, since we have no plans to do that, or a need to do that on the race 370Z project. Although I can make an educated assumption that they are compatible. I am merely stating that an upgraded aftermarket LSD unit will drop right in.

I generally don't like to make recommendations until I've physically tested or had my hands on the product/parts.

Coming soon guys! We also have a full service facility to run on a day to day basis. Waiting on brakes, wheels, and tires to arrive, and we'll be diving in.

They car custom made CCW Motorsports wheels. Nothing off the shelf would suit us.

Brakes are Stop Tech Trophy series 14 inch rotors all around, and 4 pistons. The trophy series is designed for track use only, and comes without power coating and dust boost (which tend to burn up and fade away).

CCW's rock!

Are you thinking LM20, Classic, or something else? I'm assuming 18's?

Change of plans of the wheels. We are making 5 sets of custom TE37's in 18X11 and 18X12.5 with 370Z specific offsets. This will be the ultimate track wheel, and it will clear the OEM BBK's just fine.

Our GT-R Time Attack program (two cars) has consumed a lot of our time over the past 8 weeks. Now that the season is over (finished 3rd in the national points chase), we're back it it with the 370Z. More updates coming soon!
