Does it smell like oil, or more like hot plastic? I have an issue where if the car sits over night, when I start it the next morning with AC

Does it smell like oil, or more like hot plastic? I have an issue where if the car sits over night, when I start it the next morning with AC off, within a few seconds I get a strong plastic smell, which goes away quickly. I'm pretty sure it is coming from under the hood, but I don't see anything touching exhaust or anything. Wierd. I don't smell it with AC on but I think that is because it is recirculating.
