New to Manual Transmission and sadly my Z didn't have the syncro. I been driving ok, but took her out on a run to see how fast she can go.

Default Losing Power

New to Manual Transmission and sadly my Z didn't have the syncro. I been driving ok, but took her out on a run to see how fast she can go. Ever since I feel like I lost some power. When moving at 20mph Im at 4000rpm in 1st gear, 30mph, 3500rpm in 2nd and 40mph, 3500rpm when in 3rd. I'm just wondering if this is right. I aplogize for being such a noob

Keep it in gear until you you hit ~7000 rpm and then shift. That should put a smile on your face.

the first time I drove this car I was coming from a scion tc and tested a 03 350z, the 370z scared the sh!t out of me but I couldnt get enough. I had fun, the dealership wouldn't have been too happy but it made me fall in love and buy one...just not that one =)
