08 cvtc equiped vk56 - 1000-4000 depending on shape
aem ecu + race harness -2100 (haltech - 1100)
adapter plate and thicker flywheel - 1395
headers - 450 + modification for steering column
*optional* jwt cs2 cams and springs - 1350
*optional* Extrudabodies ITB kit - 2500
All new guages - 1100
additional crap - 2000
tuning - 700

gand total - 7,745-15,595

just throwing this out there

Definitely the LS would be worlds better, but it is kind of cool fitting a Nissan V8 in the Z.

Actually this is an idea that I am looking into simply because it is a rare combination. I just have to be different!! LOL Looking at an LSx based LS2 @ 450-500hp.

The fact that you are using a Z sure that is rare but an LS swap is not rare by any means

I have seen many z's in many car shows and have yet to see one with an LZ motor! Ergo it's rare to me.

I think you are being a bit conservative on the additional cr@p, but who knows until someone does it.
Would love to see a Nissan V8 instead of another LSx build, but the fitting the Nissan is going to be tough.

I agree 100% as far the coolness factor, keeping it Nissan etc. Sh!t, y'all know how much of a nissan fan I am. STILL, if performance is your goal, the LSx swap makes worlds more sense. If you are just trying to be cool and have a "one off" type car, then absolutely, the nissan V8 is the way to go.

Either way will result in one bad *** Z regardless.

Company funded Nascar V8 into a huge sedan, that is easy.
And I have seen that, it was a great job but honestly it was pure publicity (similar to the Juke-R by Nissan).
