5,

As many of you know, my 370Z has been undergoing ECU testing along with dyno tuning with the addition of power parts over at Technosquare in Torrance, California.

I will start by saying that I am in no way affiliated with any of the links and/or companies that I may post here. They are brought to you only as an informative tool so that you can see some real world results of the ongoing tuning and power modding process that my 370Z has been undergoing thus far. I owe a big thank you first and foremost to Technosquare for choosing my 370Z as one of two test mules that they have performed extensive Beta testing on. My car being the yellow 6 speed MT along with another (white) 7 speed auto. I just missed out on Greddy getting their hands on it for development of a TT system... damn! Second, I would like to give a big shout out to Josh at Stillen for hooking me up with great deals and even greater customer service. Lastly, a very gracious thank you to Mike Kojima and 370Z.com for featuring my car (along with the white AT) in their online magazine. Mike really knows his sh*t and if any of you have ever seen any of his rides, you will know just what I am talking about.

I will give a brief overview of what has been done to the car as well as list out the parts and gains that have been added. Mostly I will let video, charts or a combination of both do most of the talking. Needless to say, the re-flashed ECU alone has REALLY great results that I think you will be very happy with should you also decide to embark on that journey. (I highly recommend it) Obviously we are beginning to see more and more aftermarket products becoming available to the 370Z owner and this only represents a small portion of what’s available.

First a list of what's currently on or has been done to the car:

- Complete Technosquare ECU re-flash
- Technosquare custom built oil cooler
- Stillen HFC's
- Stillen CBE
- JWT dual POP chargers -- later removed back to stock. More on that in a bit
- Axis Super Hiro 19” wheels

Second, a list of future parts to be added later. Reviews on that will also come:

- Stillen sway bars
- Stillen lightweight clutch
- Stillen lightweight pullies
- If anyone wants to develop a supercharger system, let me know... you can use my car as the test mule

Ok... on with the show...

First up, The baseline numbers with video showing what my 370Z started with BONE STOCK:

261 hp
212 lb/ft
Superflow Model 30 dyno

Okie dokie.. the results of Technosquare's reflashed ECU...

Overall gain of 11 whp & 10 lb. ft. torque!

Needless to say, I think the results are pretty exciting!

I will posting information and testing of the oil cooler here as well as a B&M shifter that will be going into the car this Monday the 27th.

I will be hitting the track (SOW counterclockwise) on May 9th and will post video and results for all parts involved here!

Driving the car home, I kept a close eye on oil temp and it never went above 210. I was driving it easy. I will give an update on a more "spirited" drive as well as an upcoming track day at Willow. I don't anticipate any problems.

A complete set of PICTURES of my completed and installed Technosquare oil cooler unit.

UPDATE: I took the car out for some video shooting for exhaust sound clips and ran the car hard a few times getting up to 100 mph on one stretch. The oil cooler seems to be doing it's job beautifully as the temps never got above 210-215 and with easy driving it hovered around 200.

UPDATE AGAIN: Took the car to Supercar Sunday today and decided to drive the canyon home. The oil temp fluctuated quite a bit but never got above 220. for the most part I was hitting revs of 4000 in 3rd gear through the canyon and it was seen as low as 180 on the city streets in stop and go traffic. Air temps were cool today and that no doubt always helps but I don't see any future problems with oil temps for my Z!

JWT dual POP Charger intake:

Ok so here's the deal. I purchased a set of these and they went on the car for testing.

THIS is the complete article on these.

Bottom line, they are a very well made product that I believe needs more testing. I went back to the stock airboxes as a result.

i have a feeling the above 5500rpm will show more of a mild increase with tuning compared to 2000-5000 area... i think by tuning out the emissions crap and letting those valves open up will show huge gains in the low to mid range.. cant wait to see!!

Hell I bet I could pull 320 right now, if I shop around for the highest-reading dynojet in town on a cold day

Let's get a contest going for an exact number (just on the ECU tune). Winner gets bragging rights.

Results are coming... stay tuned.
