I think it's deplorable that a manufacturer would do this, especially something like Auto-X which is a perfect setup to learn how to drive your new car safely. As a result I will never buy a Subaru, and now I have to question whether I will buy another Nissan despite my preference towards them having owned several over the last 20 years.
